Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This page describes what Footy Cross (the "App") collects, why, and how you can remove it. It's meant to match what the App actually does, not to read like generic boilerplate — the data types below are the same ones declared in the App's privacy manifest, submitted to Apple alongside every build.
We don't track you
Footy Cross has no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and doesn't share data with data brokers or ad networks. Nothing here is used to build a profile of you across other apps or websites.
What we collect, and why
Only when you play online (offline solo and local two-player modes collect nothing at all):
- Email address and name — only if you sign in with Apple or Google, so your progress can follow you across devices. If you play as a guest, neither is collected.
- User ID — an account identifier, created for every online player including guests, so the server knows which scores and matches are yours.
- Gameplay content — match results, scores, and the club pairs you've played, so online matches, matchmaking, and your personal best can work.
All of it is used solely to make the App's features work — matchmaking, scoring, cross-device sync — and none of it is linked to advertising or used to track you elsewhere.
Sign-in providers
If you choose to sign in, Apple or Google hands the App a verified identity token; we don't see your password. You can also link a guest session to Apple or Google later without losing your progress.
Where it's stored
Online data is stored with Supabase, our backend provider, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. Access is restricted so a player can only read their own account data and the state of matches they're actually part of.
On-device storage
The App stores a few preferences on your device — theme, sound settings, league filters — using standard iOS mechanisms. It also keeps a small local cache of club crest images to avoid re-downloading them, which is cleared automatically as it fills up.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the App. This removes your account, your online match history, and any linked sign-in identity. Guest sessions that were never turned into an account are anonymous from the start and aren't tied to anything to delete beyond uninstalling the App.
Children
Footy Cross isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the App's own privacy manifest is updated in the same release. The date at the top reflects the last real change.
